I too was contemplating joining Jenny Craig, since I have about 15 pounds to lose. However, after reading all these horror stories, I will look at Nutrisystem instead. My mother-in-law had wonderful results on Nutrisystem and looks terrific! (she is 66) No matter what diet you follow, it will cost a certain amount of money. After trying several other diets and losing, but never keeping it off I was promised that they would help me to do so. I bought a life time membership. At first I had the same counselor. But then they started changing. Either they quit or transferred to another location. As for the classes (ho hum), I got better info from NutriSystem. And the food is expensive. I spent more in a week than I did normally, plus still had to buy fruits, salads, etc. I even went back at one point, when they called & promised that they had changed. Big Joke! The sales pitch was so good that my husband signed me up for the lifetime membership. I was doing great and I lost 20lbs, but soon noticed that I was breaking out in these horrible rashes. So, I went to the doctor and was tested for foods that I was allergic to. Turns out, it was something inside most of their food. I went in and politely asked for a refund. They refused to give my money back!! I was so disappointed. I realized they were just greedy for my money and really didn't care for me like they promised in the initial sales pitch.
